It has been busy on the weekends!

Catching up on the events, on Sunday Nov 20th we traveled to Skagway Alaska to see Charles and Kathy.

The snowy road conditions leaving Yukon, through BC into Alaska

Wind blown icy roads in the White Pass

The desolate White Pass, high up in the mountains before dropping to sea level.

The next weekend, November 26 and 27th, we took a two day road trip to Haines Alaska.

The first stop heading out of town was Takhini Hot Springs where the trees and buildings were done up in Christmas lights.

It was very cold outside, enough to frost your hair!!

Overnight we stayed at the same highway turnout that Enora and I stayed at more than a month ago.
Same great view in the morning, but a lot more snow.

Alaska!!

Haines Alaska received almost record amounts of snow before we arrive. Here a country road.

We were a week late for the eagle festival, but there were still plenty of eagles in the Chilkat Preserve.
Unfortunately the grizzlies had finally succumbed to hibernation.
